CPEP™ QUICK VIEW - This applies to all of our CPEP™ classes:
CERTIFICATES of Completion for all CPEP™ training are issued by us.  PERC has been telling us for some time that it does not issue certificates for PEP completion (as PERC has done for CETP). PERC clearly states that PEP is NOT a certification program.  We are HOWEVER, aware of exceptions to this rule as of the revision date on this document.  Our certified Propane Education Project “CPEP™“ includes class and instructor-led, live, online interactive instruction as well as a certificate of training issued by us.
CONTENT EQUIVALENT - This means our CPEP™ classes offer the equivalent course content from CETP Books.   An example:  The term ‘replacement’ has been used to describe the relationship between 2 (two) of the PEP modules and  CETP Book 1.0, however, this does not mean the material in those 2 PEP modules is the same as the content in CETP 1.0.  The content covered in this CPEP 1.0 class is the same as the content from CETP 1.0 Basic Principles and Practices and will include, but is not limited to, the use of PEP, PERC and other materials, including the streaming of videos to support our training materials.
 
REPORT TO PERC - As of the revision date of this document, we will report your completion of this class as completing the following PEP modules: 

PERC has not published an official ‘content equivalency’ guide for CETP Book 1.0, so we are analyzing the content from CETP 1.0 and referencing AHJ guidance from certain AHJsand comparing it to the 150+ PEP modules, so the list above may change.  Contact us at info@propaneandoiltraining.com if needed.

OJT worksheets - PEP On Job Training “OJT” - The only time an OJT Worksheet is required is when
an AHJ mandates it or
a company mandates it for their Learning Path or
OJT Worksheet completion is required pursuant to the company written policy and procedures.  
If an OJT worksheet is required to be completed by an AHJ, it will be declared within the PEP Learning Path. If a company decides to make OJT Worksheet completion mandatory, this should be clear in the Learning Path as well.   
 
We offer the OPTION to have us complete your PEP On Job Training “OJT” worksheets.  
 
OJT worksheets are said by some to be the PEP version of CETP Skills Evaluations, however, there are significant differences.   If we do not do your OJT Worksheets,  and you want to complete them in house with your employer, that is acceptable. 
 
If you intend to complete an OJT Worksheet in-house, It is our recommendation to complete OJT using a seasoned,  trained employee.   
RECORD KEEPING - We send PERC a variation of their “roster” form to ensure your completed training information gets updated on your behalf.  PERC will then update your individual PERC Training account with the information we provide on the ‘roster’ for any PEP-related training. 
INDIVIDUAL PERC ACCOUNT:   For us to have PERC update your information in their platform with the PEP training completed for students in our PEP-related sessions, the individual must have an individual PERC training account. The attendee must set up the account at minimum twenty-four (24) hours prior to class.  You can take this instructor-led class; however, if you complete this instructor-led training and we are missing your account information, including the student’s account USERNAME, PERC will not be able to enter the record of this training into the system.   As of 06-12-25 we have no information in writing on how PERC will handle incomplete information submitted on behalf of a student.  Regardless, we urge all of our students to check their PERC accounts to ensure training records are correct, regardless of how the student completes any PEP training.  
After the Instructor-led class, we will send PERC a “PEP class roster”  (a sign-in sheet/record of training) that names the modules completed, start/end dates and times, student names, company name, and the student’s Learning Center username.  After January 1, 2025, we will collect the account username as this is now necessary for our report to PERC, so please make sure you know your account username.  We must list this on the roster sent to PERC.
Setting up your individual PERC training account is easy to do and free. In advance of the actual class, go to Training.propane.com, then click Sign Up.  This takes but a few minutes.  You MUST complete the setup of your individual PERC account 24 hours or more prior to the class start date.   We intend to prepare the roster for PERC as soon as the class is over.

SKILLS -  The Skill Assessment for CETP  Book 1.0 Basic Principles and Practices no longer exists because Book 1.0 was ‘archived’ (more on archiving below) by PERC on 01-01-25 and as a result, those Skill Evaluations are no longer available.    
 
QUIZZES - NO EXAM - CETP had an exam.  Now, PEP has quizzes to to complete for module completion by individuals completing modules onlinCETP exam by a person that had the PERC-authorized Skills Evaluator credential.  PEP has no such “proctor” credential to provide oversight of quizzes, or anything resembling an exam.
We offer PEP OJT Completion sessions separately from this class.   You or your company must see to,  or otherwise provide adequate oversight to ensure, the completion of PEP OJT worksheets consistent with PEP. INSTRUCTIONS as outlined in the PEP Recognized Field Trainer training program.  OJT must be done properly, regardless of who “signs off” on the OJT worksheets.   Participants AN
