Propane Advisory Group Forms:  December 2024

Formation of Propane Advisory Group

 

Fuel industry consultants Michael Digiorgio and Shane Sweet have announced the formation of Propane Advisory Group, an entity that will serve as the basis for their propane and fuels consulting work.

 

In 2021 the two formed propaneandoiltraining.com, which serves as the home for their training and education initiatives, including Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) classes, Hazardous Materials training, Pump Station Training, propane Cylinder Requalification training, propane Safety Talks Series and other propane and fuel related training and education initiatives.  Formed as the home for their training initiatives, the effort has developed a growing consulting and compliance clientele. 

 

Propaneandoiltraining.com continues to train about a thousand propane and fuel industry personnel annually and it will continue to be the home for the training and education initiatives.  Training is primarily delivered in a virtual format though on-site or in-person training continues to be delivered upon request.

 

Propane Advisory Group services include 

 

  • Due Diligence services for companies buying or selling companies.

  • Hazardous Materials Security Plans including review, editing and creation of HMSPs for fuel companies subject to this requirement.

  • Policies and Procedures “P&P” by industry renowned experts.  PAG works with a number of the foremost Policies & Procedures consultants in the propane industry and offers review, editing and creation of P&P documents.   P&P must be completed by someone who possesses a deep and comprehensive knowledge in a specific field.  Don't get your company in trouble:  use an expert familiar with the law.

  • Fire Safety Analysis plans for propane bulk facilities and petroleum storage.

  • FSA Train the FSA Administrator(s) for your company

  • Jurisdictional Systems work including Operator Qualification and Operations & Maintenance Services, DIMP plans, UDP plans, and more.

  • Manuals - PAG prepares any manual that you need, including your security plan.

  • Petroleum Driver’s Manual - this is our trademarked Petroleum Driver’s Manual.

  • Propane Tech Topics - These are FREE virtual live sessions for fuel retailers on a variety of propane and fuel related topics.  We issue Certificates of Participation for most sessions and these sessions are scheduled to run 15 to 30 minutes long.  We’ve covered Carbon Credits, Codes, DOT regulations, OSHA and most of these sessions come together when someone like you says “Hey, guys, how about a briefing on XYZ”.  The sessions are either presented by us or moderated by us with a third party Subject Matter Expert.  

  • Propane Safety Talks Series - These are similar to the sessions above however these are underwritten by one of our clients and the New York Propane Gas Association/NY PERC.  Attendance is free for propane retailers in New York State.  Those persons not underwritten by a company or organization can attend for a nominal fee of $30 per session per person or a company can send as many of their personnel as they wish for $250 a session.

  • Custom Start and Scheduling - any of the classes may be tailored to your company's needs.  For instance, if an 8 a.m. EST start does not work, we can and will start classes whenever it works for the client.

  • Research - Companies requiring short-term research and advice for various fuel industry topics

  • Subject Matter Expert services provides support and advice to clients involved in litigation 

  • Fire and Accident Investigation

  • Fire and Explosion Origin & Cause Investigation

 

Propane Advisory Group also partners with other propane industry experts on various client projects, according to the announcement.
